Dear Friends,

I was informed that there is some confusion about the deposits and the refund possibilities of the hotel Kirchheimerhof.

I have asked the hotelmanager for the correct information, and this is her answer:

Dear Roel,

We will take € 400,00 deposit for each booking.

If the stay will be only 3 nights or single room we take € 200,00 or € 300,00. They should pay between 1 week.

A lot of participants have pay the deposit and it was no problem so we have fixed all the bookings.

The participants have the possibility to cancel the reservation free of charge 30 bevor arrival date.

In another case we offer also the possibility to to take out a cancellation insurance.

If there is a cancellation 30 days before arrival we will refund the money of course.

So there you have it, the correct information directly from the hotel, I hope this answers all the questions.
Please remember that all hotelbookings are made directly by the participants, the ECM organization has no part in this process.

Hi Roel.

Yes, there seems to be some confusion on the part of the hotel. My confirmation for a twin room at Der Kirchheimerhof states the following:

"You may cancel your booking without charge up to 3 month prior to your arrival. 3 month up to 1 month prior to your arrival, that cancellation fee is 40% of the cost of the booking, 1 month to 1 week 70 % , within the last week or on early departure 90%".

I'd have to be on my death bed before I decided to cancel, but it's useful to have confirmed that a full refund would be payable if I did need to cancel 30 days before the check-in date. I'd be happy to send you my confirmation if it helps resolve the apparently contradictory information!

Well my friend, i am sure that even in that case you would put 4 wheels and a headlight on that deathbed and STILL go to the ECM... Or would't you?
