To help our ECM participants decide if they want a KärntenCard during their stay or not, we have made an overview of the actual costs of the tollroads that are incorparated in the ECM Routes.
But remember: all routes are suggestions and nothing is MANDATORY! You choose what route you drive and on what day. We do however have suggestions and a roadbook plus SatNavfiles to help you enjoy the fantastic scenery and roads in Kärnten / Carinthia.
Now, to see if a KärntenCard would be profitable for you or not, this overview:
WITHOUT the KärntenCard:
Maltatalsperre € 20,00 per car + driver, € 5,00 per passenger
Nockalmstrasse € 19,00 per car + driver, € 5,00 per passenger
Porsche Museum in Gmünd € 8,00 per person
The above are incorporated in our ECM Tours, but FREE to choose.
EXAMPLE:
If you are driving the ECM Routes that incorporate these two tollroads mentioned above, and optional visit the Porsche Museum along the way during a lunchstop, you will see that a car + driver and passenger will have to pay a total of € 49,00 for the tollroads and € 16,00 for the Porsche Museum, a grand total of € 65,00
If the driver would buy a week KärntenCard from hotel Kirchheimerhof for the reduced rate of just € 30,00 and the passenger has just 2x € 5,00 to pay for the tollroads, and just 1 person museum, the grand total would be € 17,00 cheaper because the Porsche Museum is now FREE too for the KCard-holder. A single driver would save a total of € 17,00 in this case too.
And if you are an Early Bird and plan to drive the Early Bird Tour on Tuesday 23-06 which incorporates the Nockalmstrasse too, you would even save another € 19,00 car/driver and just pay € 5,00 for the passenger ( if you have one )
LATE Birds also profit too... The optional and highly recommended boattrip across the Ossiachersee on the Sunday after the photoshoot is also FREE with the KärntenCard. That saves another € 17,90 per person.
Below are some very nice venues in the area of our hotel and worth a visit:
FREE with the KärntenCard!
Goldeck Panorama-strasse (opposite Millstatt) € 14,50 per car/d and € 5,00 passenger
Pyramidenkogel cablecar to top of mountain € 14,00 per person
Terra Mystica 1 km railroad INSIDE the mountain and caves € 18,50 per person
Affenberg € 13,00 per person
Adlerschau Landskron 13,00 per person
etc. etc.
info of ALL FREE venues of the KärntenCard: www.KärntenCard.at
We hope that this information will help you decide to buy a KCard or not.
If you DO want a KCard ( maybe driver only?) than you must send an email to:
registration@ecm2020.eu before March 1st. 2020
But again, you choose yourself, nothing mandatory here.
