Dear all,
Yvona and I wish all the ECC members a very prosperous, happy, and above all: a HEALTHY 2022!
The weather is terrible in Holland... Rain, gusty wind and much too high temperatures for the time of year... So what can you do on a boring day like this?? Well, I find it interesting to spend some time searching on internet if I can find Cobra modelcars (1:43 and 1:18) that are not in my extensive collection just yet. Some of you might know the feeling?
Found 2 very nice ones and just won the Catawiki auction on both! Now all I have to do is find some space in my large glass showcase. Just the job for the last 'boring' day of the year.
What would YOU do on a boring, rainy day? I'd like to hear it!!
I spent the days leading up to Christmas painting snails! My granddaughter had a pair of pet snails which she named Gary (from Spongebob Squarepants as those with young kids/grandkids may know!) and Samantha. Unfortunately she forgot to spray them with water so they didn't survive the summer. So I thought I'd 3D print a replacement pair as a low maintenance alternative!
It was more work than I'd anticipated, but it was well worth it to see the smile on her face on Christmas day!
I was going through some old ECM photos the other day, and came across this amazing premonition of things to come from ECM 2017:
So in terms of the new year, I'm keen to know the predictions from the "Amersfoort Oracle" for Coronavirus in 2022!
Let's hope we all finally manage to get together again in Maastricht!
Stay safe everyone.
Alan

Hi Alan!
Thanks for the Best Wishes and the great photo that i now saw for the first time! Taken during our 2017 ECM in Liberec, when all was still well and nobody could even imagine what was to come...
Nigel is currently on ski's in the Alps and from what i understood is that Claudie has joined them! That is super and we should never forget her and/or Michel. They have been a structural part of our ECC after all and we owe them a lot.
You've done another great job on the 3D printer and indeed, there is nothing better than to see a happy grandchild!
Stay safe and healthy and we will meet again ( with Robbo! ) in Maastricht!!!

Almost time to wish Happy new year to all ECM friend.
I went to work this morning so I won't be too overwhelmed next week when seriously back at work. Yesterday I sorted out my garage but the weather is so moisty ! A real boring week indeed. So from the picture can we say that Nigel got the virus out of Shanghai for us?
I will suggest the 3D alternative to our pets, dog, cats and rabbit !
Talked to Claudie this morning and she is heading to the Alps to meet Nigel and Pascale this sunday.
I'd forgotten that Nigel was based in China at the time - the plot thickens...
It's nice that Nigel and Pascale will be meeting Claudie this weekend. It's a shame about her current social calendar clash next June, as we would all love to see her again in Maastricht.
Nigel - if you see this, please give Claudie my very best wishes.
