Dobry Den / Good Day, from Liberec / CZ!
Although there is - unfortunatly - very little activity on this Forum regarding the upcoming ECM, I will try to see if I can find out how many participants have booked as 'Early Bird'? We did get information some time ago from the ECM-team about the participants and their countries of origin, but no information about the date of arrival of them. So, who is arriving in the NH hotel in Maastricht on Wednesday 22nd of June? And if so, is your estimated arrival-time before, or after lunchtime?
I hope to hear from our fellow Early Birds and we are both looking forward to see all our Cobra friends soon!
we will try to com on 22 but ok roel you i can not tell how fast the recovery will go
Hi Robert, i know, just take it easy and we will see you and SA in Maastricht! No stress...
Kurt Sogaard from Denmark is arriving on the 22nd too, and i arranged a safe parking close to the hotel for his SUV and high (2.20m) car-trailer. The trailer is too high for the NH hotel Parking....
Nathalie and I will arrive on Wednesday. My car will not be ready yet as the engine is not yes tested. Should be this month though as my builder is closing his shop at the end of the month. Then I will have to put the engine back in the car which should take me some good week-ends. Quite impossible to be ready in june.

@ Eric S.: Wow, that is a very tight schedule indeed.... Fingers crossed, but i can imagine that you will be arriving in another (American Classic?) car. Was it you that came to Davos in 2019 in that mint-green Ford Thunderbird ( the lovely "Square" Bird? ) I seem to remember that the brakes overheated and the car was sort of stuck in front of the hotel..?
@ Christian: We are looking forward to see you and your good old Dad Charles in Maastricht!

If the Thunderbird is your backup option Eric, are the vacuum windscreen wipers still working or do I need to fire up my 3D printer again and bring a spare port slider mechanism with me?
Alan
PS: Scrub that - it obviously wouldn't dare rain during this long awaited ECM - so no wipers required!

@ Eddy: we plan to arrive about 12.00h, but we might go for lunch in the beautiful centre of Maastricht first.. We will see at the day itself. Anyway, nice to see you and other Early Birds later on that wednesday!

Roel the Thunderbird is still there. And the brakes has been fixed (had to change the master cylinder as they did not replaced the original parts when they installed disc brakes on the front). The wipers are working thanks to 3D printing abilities of our Alan. Well when I say working, they remain vaccuum activated motor, 60 years old on a 80-100 years old design. But who cares, it don't rain anymore anyway ! Not sure of the car will use for ECM. Still in discussion with Nathalie...

Hi Eric! Good to hear the Old 'Bird is still alive and well! From all the shapes the Thunderbird has been in over the years, this 'Square Bird' is my favourite. So, if you ever want to sell it...?
Alan has turned out to be a 3D Magician and has helped several people with his 3D printer! Great!
We are looking forward to see all our Cobra friends soon, and perhaps let Nathalie choose the transport for this trip? Happy wife, happy life....
