Rob and I still need to get our European mountain road fix this year, so we've decided to go back to Inzell in June. We'll be setting off via Eurotunnel on Tuesday 7th June, probably returning to Blighty on Friday 17th June. We're planning to stay at the same hotel we were in last time - the Hotel Gasthof Schwarzberg. Great memories, and at €38 pppn it's a bargain too!
Does anyone else fancy taking a trip down memory lane?

Hi Alan,
Do you allready know your road book (I guess you do)? We will not do the complete trip with you but maybe we can join you for a couple of days en route...
We're not that organised yet! All we've done so far is to book the first night's accommodation halfway between Calais and Inzell on the 7th - but even that could be changed. At the moment, we're planning to take the motorway route to Inzell via Brussels and Stuttgart on the way down. But after Inzell we'll be dropping down into Northern Italy and Switzerland, so we're likely to come back via France.
It would be great to meet up with you and Claudie - I could start delivering the "wine reward" for all your help so far with ECM 2016!
We'll keep you in the loop.
Alan

Alan@All,
any progress re your planning (I hope)?
I/we will not be able to do the complete trip with you but maybe we can join you for a couple of days en route, eg. Ammersee, Inzell, Northern Italy, Switzerland ...
You may also consider to do a "stop over" @ Lake Ammersee (where we are residíng / be our guests) heading from Stuttgart to Inzell - just let us know if this makes sense for you.
Our current plan is to take an early Eurotunnel crossing on Tuesday 7th June and to drive to Eulenbis (half way to Inzell) staying overnight at the Panorama Gasthof Stemler. We'll then head to Inzell the next morning, and have booked two nights at the Landgasthof Schwarzberg where we stayed for ECM 2013. We could easily change this though to take up your kind offer of hospitality at Lake Ammersee!
We have no firm plans after that, and are aiming to take the return Eurotunnel crossing on either Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th June - so it's all very flexible at the moment.
As you'll see from above, Michel & Claudie have already said that they would like to join us for a few days. Dick & Marion Vesters would also like to join us, so I hope the dates work for them too! It would be really great to meet up with you as well - it would be a nice ECM reunion as a forerunner to ECM 2016.
As it happens, one of our local Cobra friends (Jim Thompson) is leading a small party of Brits heading for Bavaria on the weekend of 11th/12th June, and he's already prepared a comprehensive set of Alpine pass routes ready to upload to our TomToms. This is really starting to grow!
I think the easiest way to develop this is for me to send a PM to you, Rob, Dick and Michel so that we can all then join the discussion to decide venues/dates etc. That should be a lot easier than using email.
I met with Rob yesterday - his car is going well, and mine is running fine as well. My new sidepipes sound great - so we may need to watch out for rockfalls on those mountain passes!
