Hi Roel, just wondered how many cars you had now booked for 2021 ECM. We are all booked up including ferries and hotels. We trust the vaccine will help us all get out of lockdown and able the ECM to go ahead Cheers Charlie

@ Charlie & All,
Good morning from a cold Liberec, Ceská Republik,
Thank you for you inquiry Charlie, i have just made a graph to illustrate the number of participants and their country of origin.
I was planning on making a December Newsletter in a few weeks, and this would be included, but perhaps this info will keep the spirit alive! I know of some - not yet registered but prospect - participants that first want to see how this Covid-affair is developing in the coming months before they register. No problem, i quite understand that. Anyway, they are all from mainland EU so there's no real need for booking cartrains or ferries etc., which makes it a lot easier i guess...
So there we are: 54 have paid the reduced 2021 ECM-fee and are sure of participation. Most of them have also booked the hotel KHH, that does not ask for a deposit. Good! 3 have registered, but not paid yet. No problem, they have untill March 1st 2021. That makes a total of 57 registrations per today. But like i said earlier, we are sure there will be more registrations once spring 2021 arrives. We have a capacity of 80 rooms in our HQ, so there are still 23 slots available. And we can probably also negotiate extra hotelrooms if the need arrises.

Thanks for info Roel. The overnight train from Dusseldorf to Saltzburg is not running in 2021 so we are having a longer journey. I believe there are six cars in our group. Five going from Dover to Calais and One Hull to Rotterdam who will join up with us on route. Cheers Charlie

Hi Charlie,
my pleasure... I believe that Alan has a series of very nice routes available from Calais to Kärnten. So perhaps he could give you some tips for routes and overnight stays? Just a thought...
We'll be driving down from Liberec to Vienna and then onwards to Kärnten / BKKH. That's also a nice route via the Red Bull ring! Takes approx. 4 hours.
We are soooo looking forward to a bit of pleasure and a normal life...

Routes and hotels are all fully booked and logged into sat navs already!! We like to plan ahead in the UK!! As I am sure you will have heard we now have a vaccine that has been given the go-ahead by the regulatory bodies in the UK. This will be rolled out over a number of months. As Hotel Kirchheimerhof does not require a deposit until April 1st 2021 we hope with fingers crossed that we will be well on the way to some normality. Cheers Charlie
