We’re pleased to announce that Eric Sabatier from France has kindly agreed to join the ECM Steering Group. Eric has attended several ECMs and was a very close friend of Michel Mousset, who sadly passed away in February this year.
The Steering Group membership is now as follows:
- Achim Deboeser (Germany)
- Alan Browse (UK)
- Eric Sabatier (France)
- Nigel Brackenbury (Germany)
- Rocco Jansen (Netherlands)
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Roel de Vringer and Thomas Fröhlich for their determined efforts and planning for the now cancelled ECM in 2020 and then 2021 - hopefully one day we’ll be returning to an ECM in Austria.
Eric will be working with us to support the organizers of future events. Planning for the 2022 ECM is already underway, and details regarding location and booking will be announced shortly.

Congratulations Eric and SG for taking a member with a real Cobra heart onboard the SG!

Yes, we are thinking about trying to organize "Back to the Roots" a third time. "Third time lucky??" Which year is not certain right now, but i'm sure, that will be announced in the future.
For now we want to thank Alan for his continued and much appreciated support and keeping the ECC Forum alive.
See you all next year in ........ to celebrate a Covid-free ECM.

Hi cobra fans and thank you Roel Sorry it took me forever to jump on this thread.
After the passing of Michel earlier this year and much to my surprise I have had the honor to be offered Michel's seat on the ECC's steering board.
I will do my best to carry on Michel's heritage, way of thinking and down to earth, or rather road, friendship. I spent quite a lot of time with Michel and Claudie reaching ECMs destinations, Spain, Czech republic, Swiss and many other venues and we talked a lot about the future of ECC and ECM. So my task as I see it is to help as much as I can for next ECMs and make sure that future meetings are always organised following Michel's spirit.
Here are our 2 girls when we met the first night (of 14) on our way to ECM 2017 and our travelling group with Xavier and Geraldine.

Dear Eric,
thank you for your kind words and greatly appreciated intentions to help the EEC / ECM survive in this uncertain future that awaits us all. Sadly not all our friends will be around to celebrate the next ECM(s) but if we keep - like you say - the spirit alive, we will certainly have many more good times to come. Especially that last picture is one to remember and keep in our hearts. I just hope Claudie will be able to join us all one fine day, who knows...
Holland is the venue for 2022 and after that? Well, we will see... I still would very much like to go "Back to the Roots" as i know many others would like to do that too. Third time lucky?
For now i wish everyone a happy and cheerful summer holiday.
